Wasteland Disco (2022)

Wasteland Disco is an attempt to groove while everything around is burning down. This sophomore EP from Floral Cow has experimental threads throughout- Mama Fazio's is an anecdote about the artist's first panic attack, The Stubble Scratches is a spoken word piece performed by his late brother that was set to music, and New Years Eve 1985 features a sermon the artist's father was forced to perform as a nine-year-old. This EP is the culmination of the anxiety and gloom that we have all experienced over the last few years. There are moments of joy and clarity, represented by such songs as Just a Little Bit and I Live My Broken Dreams, but in an album with often dense and chaotic instrumentation, the EP closes with the acoustic track, Revisited in a Memory, which serves as an acknowledgment that things will never be the same.

Wasteland Disco features a limited run of unique, purple cassette tapes that come with a free (lossless) digital download. Each tape is handcrafted by the artist. These are Type I tapes. $8 for the tape covers the cost of shipping. To order a tape, use subject WASTELAND to begin the transaction.
